Cut Copy on Vinyl

Sometimes the world’s best-kept secrets must be made public, and in this case I need to spill the beans and spread the love. Cut Copy is now on vinyl – so get your greasy mitts on it my fellow electro pop tarts. To the select few in the know, this 12-inch record titled ‘In Ghost Colours’, is a real mind blowing experience.

Watch your speakers take off into another world with the bands first released single ‘Hearts on Fire’ blasting out as track one. You feel the electric beat take over and allow it to transport you into a whole new euphoria. The louder the volume and the faster they mix, the more adrenaline you feel racing through your veins – this rhythm is the ecstasy that fuels those dance moves.

It’s clear to see that this trio from Melbourne are attempting to create their own unique style, and with songs like ‘Lights and music’ and ‘Out there on the ice’, one can only imagine how the crowd would react live.

What we have here is a dreamlike vinyl that has the ability to shape music, alter genres and change genders. As long as my 40 year-old retro record player doesn’t die in it’s ancient ass, the future is looking prosperous for this best kept secret.
